Gioia Arnone

Gioia is the co-founder of the International Law Firm Arnone & Sicomo. Gioia is enrolled with the Bar Council of Palermo. 

After the completion of a traineeship on civil and criminal law with two recognised law firm in Palermo, she started to work in a notary's office based in Palermo. Then Gioia became an Associate Lawyer one of the most important italian law firm specialised in International Law, where Gioia regularly provided advice in relation to high profile cases concerning Criminal Law,  Tax  Law, Real Estate  and Immigration Law. 

She gained a Master's Degree in Law at the University of Palermo with an experimental thesis on the criminal tax law and then she obtained the Postgraduate Specialization Diploma for Legal Professions  (Forensic Justice Area ), at the University of Palermo. At the end of the post-graduate course she started to collaborate as a trainee with the office of the Prosecutor of the Court of Palermo, where she provided assistance to the same during the hearings and in drafting of documents. 

Gioia obtained a Diploma in European and International Tax Law from the Political Science Department, of the University of Palermo, then she attended a  course on International Criminal Law, organised by the School of Law at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio (USA) and in 2017 she successfully completed the two-year Masters Course on Tax Law organised by the National Union of Tax Consultants Lawyers. 

During university she was a member of ELSA (European Law Students Association) and she also took part in a Legal Research Team which published an article on the subject of  theTax evasion. 

Over the years she developed a specific expertiseon Real Estate and Property law, Tax Law, Immigration Law, as well as on tax offences, economic crimes and in the field of personal and patrimonial measures of prevention also providing her assistance in relation to any dispute resolution process before the Banking and Financial Arbitrator.

A great interest in the field of assistance to businesseswas partly generated from the accurate observation of the social and economical aspects involved in the local professional emigration,  and from theself-entrepreneurship seen asan useful tool to create new professional opportunities. 

Gioia provides expert advice to start-up, innovative Start-ups and to local small and medium - sized companies on business internationalisation being constantly updated on the current italian law regarding microfinance and mentoring. 

She is also enrolled in the lists of public defenders, who represent legal aid clients. She is also a professionally qualified mediator. 

She is a member of the Rotaract Club of Palermo West, D. 2110 - Sicily & Malta, and she held various positions at a local, national and international level. Since she had a great interest in developing International Relations  she organised in Palermo the first "Mediterranean Sea Forum", sponsored by the Municipality of Palermo and by the Tourism Department of the Sicilian Region, which promoted professional cooperation among young people living in the mediterranean area. 

She also promoted various initiatives with a social and professional meaning. As the President  of the District “Rotaract Professional Action” of Western Sicily she organised both in Palermo and Catania the first Course in "Entrepreneurship and Innovative Start-up", sponsored by Confindustria Palermo, with the purpose of creating new value in the business culture. 

She is naturally flexible and professionally qualified, her  cross-cutting, comunicative and leadership  skills finds best expression in the team work and interdisciplinary approach. 

Since December 2016 she is a member of the Rotary International Club of Palermo, D. 2110 - Sicily & Malta.   

She is an italian native speaker and speaks fluent English and French.
